Overnight
Salad
3/4 head lettuce
1 cup diced celery
1 onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced (about 1 cup)
4 hard cooked eggs, sliced
8 slices bacon - fried, drained, and diced
1 10 oz package frozen peas (do not cook)
2 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
4 ounces hard white cheese (parmesan), grated
Place lettuce, torn into bite sized pieces in 9 X 13 pan or large bowl.
Amount of lettuce used will depend on size of bowl,
don't add so much that you can't fit the rest of the ingredients.
Layer rest of ingredients in order given:
(lettuce, celery, onion, green pepper, eggs, bacon, peas)
Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread carefully over all.
Top with cheese. (Parmesan cheese suggested.)
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
This makes a very large salad.
